Tarts Cafe – Northbridge WA

Review and Photos by Valerie Fowler

The location was great and easy to get parking. Inside the cafe the atmosphere and setting was gorgeous. I have attached a photo of the table, full of vintage china, flowers and crystals! The Cafe itself was full of character with a mini shop inside. We were greeting by friendly waitstaff and guided to our table which was in a separate room, tucked away, this was really special. The food did not disappoint. See menu for details.

The savoury plate had 5 elements all dainty and bite size, all of which were beautiful, the mini burger was the star. My only comment would be each element tasted very similar. Individually they were beautiful but put together there wasn’t any real variation & felt more like tapas.

Sweets; Oh yum the coffee cake was great, so good we asked if we could buy takeaways. Really moist and flavoursome. Really nice selection of sweets.

Tea & Coffee – I really liked that you could order one teapot (2 cups) and one coffee. Perfect to match one for the savoury and one for the sweet course. Again, similar favours of tea but nice.
Champagne – It came out in a small 1 serve bottle and it was a good choice for most palettes (Proseco).

Deluxe Option: 5 savoury, 5 sweets, 1 tea, 1 coffee, 1 champagne. $50 in total. This is excellent value for money. Definitely worth a visit.
